Sticker Installation Guide
How to Apply Your Lost Youth Vinyl Sticker 🏁
For the best results, please follow the instructions below when applying your Lost Youth sticker to your vehicle.
1. Clean the surface
Make sure the application area is clean, smooth and completely dry. Remove any dirt, dust, grease or wax that could prevent the vinyl from sticking properly. Avoid applying stickers to freshly waxed surfaces or damaged paintwork.
2. Position your sticker
Before removing the backing paper, position your sticker where you want it to go. You can use masking tape to help keep it in place and ensure it’s straight.
3. Apply the sticker
Carefully peel away the backing paper, ensuring the vinyl design stays attached to the clear transfer tape. Position the sticker onto your chosen area and gently press it down.
4. Press firmly
Using a squeegee, application tool or bank card wrapped in a soft cloth, firmly rub over the entire design. Work from the centre outwards to help the vinyl bond to the surface and remove any air bubbles.
5. Remove the transfer tape
Slowly peel the clear transfer tape back over itself at a low angle, keeping it close to the surface rather than pulling upwards. If any part of the vinyl begins to lift, stop, lay the tape back down and press that area firmly before continuing.
6. Final check
Once the transfer tape is removed, gently press over the vinyl to ensure all edges are secure. Avoid washing the vehicle or exposing the sticker to heavy moisture immediately after application.
Important Tips
- Apply your sticker in dry conditions, ideally at a moderate temperature, following the vinyl manufacturer’s recommendations.
- Do not apply vinyl over dirt, wax, loose paint or textured surfaces.
- Take your time when removing the transfer tape to avoid lifting or stretching the design.
- For the best results, apply to a smooth, clean vehicle surface.
